MAUI POMARE ARRIVES.

Shipment of Bananas for N.Z. Market. Moderate weather and seas prevailed during the greater portion of the voyage of the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare, which left Niue Island on April 7 and arrived in Lyttelton early this morning. While at Apia the vessel loaded 7000 cases of bananas, eight tons of cocoa beans and twenty tons of general cargo. During the call at Niue Island 2000 cases of bananas were loaded. The Maui Pomare brought the following passengenu Erigadier-General 11. E. Hart (Administrator of Samoa', Mr and Mrs C. Fairbrother, Mr G. P. Bairstow, Mrs J. Gall and Mrs I. C. Holden. The vessel will discharge 6000 cases of bananas at Lyttelton for Christchurch, Dunedin and Grevmouth markets, and will leave this afternoon for Wellington, where she will discharge the balance. Captain E. Boulton is on holiday leave, and Captain A. D. Holden, late chief officer of the Maui Pomare, is at present in command of the ship. Mr T. Curtis is third officer.
