RETURN FLIGHT.

Faith in Australia Crosses Tasman. big mail carried. Per Press Association. WHANGAREI, April 14. The Faith in Australia left Ninety Mile beach on its return trans-Tasman flight at three minutes past four this morning. The weather was perfect, though Everything went like clockwork and the departure was without incident. Twenty two thousand letters, including 1257 registered, were carried. Cars and vehicles of all descriptions were at the beach, crowded with sightseers. Many of the spectators were awake all night round their camp-fires, while others took blankets and snatched a few hours’ sleep before the early morning departure of the plane on its long return flight. Making Good Progress. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 14. Radio messages received by the Post and Telegraph Department indicate that Mr Ulm is making good progress under fairly favourable conditions. At 2 o’clock, he reported that the plane was flying in misty rain, accompanied by north-westerly winds but was going well.
