TROTTING MEETING. Wellington Club’s Winter Programme. (Special to the “ Star.”) WELLINGTON, April 14. The Wellington Trotting Club has drawn up a programme for the winter meeting on May 19 and stakes amounting to £I2OO are provided. The Invitation Match and Dominion Handicap (4min 33sec class) both carry prizes of £250 and the Farewell Handicap (2min 46sec class), of one mile and a quarter, carries a stake of £l6O. The other events are worth either £IOO, or £l2O. Betting will be by the single pool system.
