A Shark Story.
Delr Sin—Last week I and in the "Star” of a young man in. Sydney Harbcur being attacked by a shark and sufierins fatal injuries. As many have lost their lives in this way, bathers must know the danger in shark-infested waters. and lpplrently they are fool-hardened to it. We don't require to go outside our Dominica for instances. A good many years ago I was working 'in Oamaru. when a weil-knCwn horse tniner was attacked by a shark and was rescued minus a leg. A shark was caught and exhibited. and it was said to be the one. but it might have been miles away at the time. However, it sufliced for the purpose of a collection. and sufficient was raised to buy him In artificial leg. The {Glowing smn he was bathing again and was again attacked. by a shark, and was rescued minus an arm. I don't know whether he went in the following season, but it shows the foolhll'diness of some people in risking their live: in sharkinfested waters—l am, etc._ ' A WITNESS
