BROADFIELD W.D.F.U.
The annual meeting of the Broadfield Women’s Division of the Farmers' Union was held recently in the schoolroom. The annual report showed a credit balance. The election of officers resulted as follows: President. Mrs W. T. Wallace: vice-presidents, Mesdames Boyle, Early and Reid; secretary and treasurer, Miss E. Larcombe; delegates to provincial executive, Mesdames Wallace, Gallagher. Boyle and Miss E. Larcombe; advisory committee, Mesdames Wallace, Wheeler and Cunneen; committee, Mesdames Guilford, Gallagher. Wheeler, J. and M. Cunneen, Dowdle, Boyle and Rutherford. Misses G. Larcombe, E. Boyle, G. Hinton and G. Wallace. A competition, something new from something old, resulted as follows: Mrs Boyle 1, Mrs C. Early 2, Mrs Reid and Miss G. Larcombe (equal) 3. The hostesses for the evening were Mesdames Reid, Wheeler and Rutherford.
