PARTY AT CASHMERE.
Retiring Plunket Officers Farewelled. The committee members of the Syd* enham-Gashmere-Spreydon branch of the Plunket Society met yesterday afternoon at Mrs H. A. Young’s house, Cashmere Road, when a farewell party was given for Mrs A. F. Wright and Mrs H. Wales. Mrs Wright has been president of the branch for a number of years and has now retired from office. Mrs Wales, who has retired from her position as secretary, has also given valuable services to the committee. Mrs J. K. • Archer and Mrs H. A. Young, spoke on behalf of the other members and expressed appreciation of the retiring officers’ work .on the committee, and regret at their resignation. The positions of president and secretary will be filled by Mrs P. G. Greenwood and Mrs Malcolm Gray, respectively. Those present were: Mesdames A. F. Wright, H. Wales, H. A. Young, P. G. Greenwood, Malcolm Gray, A. W. TTole. ■Leyden Baker, Daniel Reese, Stanley Wilkinson, J. K. Archer, J. Poulson, J. Blackmore, C. Thornton, C, Ogilvie, P. Delargy, A. W. Roberts and J. Inwood.
