Mrs Ford, Prebbleton, is spending a week’s holiday in Christchurch. Mrs C. H. Gossett, Chester Street, is staying at Whitecliffs. Miss Lulu Dyer, Wellington, has lef by the Tamaroa for England* Miss F. Philpot sailed last night for an extended tour of the North Island. Miss Belle M’Rae is a Wellington visitor to Christchurch. Miss Nance Blunden, Waikari, is the guest of Miss Celia Reece, Hackthorne. Road, Cashmere Hills. Mr and Mrs H. Riches and their family left Prebbleton this week for their new home at Killinchy. The Misses Anne and Peggy Starkey, Whitecliffs. are the guests of Miss C. Gosset, Chester Street. Mrs Clark, Invercargill, is the guest of Mrs A. Mackenzie, Gapes Valley, Geraldine. Mr and Mrs Pierce Prendergast, Invercargill, are the guests of Mr and Mrs P. M. Prendergast, Severn Street, St Albans. Miss Esther Hunter will arrive from Wellington to-morrow morning to stay with Mrs Charles Ogilvie, Airlie, Cashmere Hills. Miss E. James, who spent several weeks with her sister, Mrs Hubert Jones, at The Vicarage, Prebbleton, has returned to Dunedin. Mrs Charles Simpson, Kotuku, West Coast, who has been spending the Easter vacation with friends in Christchurch, has returned home. Mr and Mrs L. Chamberlain and Miss Shona Weavers have returned home after- visiting Mrs E. E. Weavers, Moundsdale, Kaikoura. Mrs W. F. Watson and Miss Minette Watson, Bligh’s Road, Papanui, will leave next week en route to Sydney to join the Larg Bay on a visit to England. Nurse F. E. Reeve, Bealey Avenue, will leave Christchurch on Wednesday evening to join the Rangitane, which sails from Wellington on Friday for England. Mrs Thomas Skuse and her daughter, Marjorie, New Plymouth, and Miss Ann Reynolds, Wanganui, are the guests of Mrs Broughton, Peterborough Street.

The Rev F. B. Redgrave. Mrs Redgrave and Miss Dorothy Redgrave will leave Christchurch on Tuesday for Wellington to join the Rangitane for England. They expect to return to Fendalton at the end of January. The Rev Otho and Mrs Fitz Gerald will take up their residence at the Vicarage the same evening at the vicar leaves.

Mr and Mrs E. M. Hunt, Cashmere Hills, who have been visiting Wellington, returned home this m.orning. Mrs N. A. M’Kenzie has returned home after spending a holiday at Wanganui, Rotorua and Auckland. Miss Jean Hursthouse. Seymour Street, Blenheim, is visiting friends in Christchurch. Mrs Clive Crozier, St Andrew’s Terrace, and her mother, Mrs T. W. Satterthwaite, Timaru, will leave to-night on on a visit to Wellington. Mrs T. E. Taylor, Cashmere Hills, who has been attending the Y.W.C.A. conference at Paraparaumu, has returned home. Mrs Goring, Chester Street West, returned to Christchurch last evening from a visit to her daughter, Mrs R. J. Cunningham, Kekerangu. Mr and Mrs G. Hancox and family have returned to Prebbleton and have taken up their residence at Woodlaw. Mrs W. J Robbins, who has returned from San Francisco, has been staying at the Coral Gables, Cambridge Terrace. Mrs John Cook, of Dunedin, who has been the guest of Mrs J. H. Hall, Papanui Road, went to-day to stay with Mrs M. H. Godby, Jackson’s Road, Fendalton. Lady Nolan and Miss J. Nolan, who have been the guests of Mrs Harold Barker, Fendalton, have returned to Auckland, and will later proceed to take up residence for the winter months in Wellington. Members of the Fendalton Mothers* Union gave a cabin party yesterday aftrnoon at the home of Mrs H. G. Denham, in honour of Mrs F. B. Redgrave, who with her husband, the Rev Redgrave, and her daughter, will leave next week on a trip to England. Mrs W. M. Hamilton, Cashmere Hills, is visiting Dunedin for the wedding of her son, Mr Archibald Hamilton, to Dr Collier, which will take place to-day. Dr and Mrs E. Douglas Pullon, Bealcy Avenue, are also in Dunedin for the wedding.

Miss L. Lucas, Nelson, who has been staying with Mrs Keith Ollivier, Rugby Street, during the golf tournament at Shirley, will return home to-morrow. Mrs D. C. Macfarlane, Mount Paul, Waiau, and Miss Betty Rutherford, Macdonald Downs, Hawarden, will be her guests for the Nelson golf tournament next month.

Visitors to Christchurch for the autumn foursomes golf tournament will include Mrs P. Dearden, The Gates, Waiau, Mrs D. C. Macfarlanc, Mount Paul, Waiau, Miss Betty Murray, Woodbank, Clarence Bridge, Miss Kitty Polhill, Rotherham, Mrs Colin Deans, Upper Highfield, and her sister, Mrs Pat Borthwick, Masterton, Mrs W. B. Russell and Mrs A. L. Waddell, New Plymouth.
