CANTERBURY TEAM IN FORM. Cyclists Prominent. BROADWAY AND MACFARLANE WIN DOUBLES. (Specia.l to the “ Star.”) WELLINGTON, February 17. Several titles changed hands when the New Zealand amateur athletic and cycling championships were concluded on the Basin Reserve to-day. The racing was keen, and the large crowd which assembled were provided -with many close and interesting finishes. T. G. Broadway (Canterbury) was in form over the middle distances, but A. T. Anderson, the 440yds hurdles title-holder, was beaten bv Fuller, of Otago. J. B. MacFarlane' (Canterbury) lived up to expectations in the sprints and retained his title. The Canterbury cyclists were also prominent, and in the half-mile event filled all three places. Results:— 100 Yards.
