BARE LEGS BANNED.
Canberra Census Office Girls Disciplined. CANBERRA, February 6. Officialdom at Canberra objects to bare feminine legs—in office hours. When two girl employees of the Census Office arrived at work minus stockings they were informed by the woman superintendent that stcckingless legs were not conducive to office discipline and efficiency, and that in future stockings must be regarded as part of the regulation attire. The census supervisor (Mr Harold Green) has upheld this ruling.
