WEST OLD BOYS.

The annual general meeting of the West Christchurch District High School Old Boys' Association was held last night, Mr C. D. Sheppard presiding over a good attendance of members. Officers were elected as follows: Patron, Mr L. F. de Berry; president, Mr C. D. Sheppard; vice-presidents, Messrs C. A. Noble, E. Chapman, G. G. Lockwood, G. Archey, C. D. Hardie, F. D. Waller, P. W. Campbell, C. Edgar, H. A. Barrett and A. Thompson; secretary, Mr B. Walker; treasurer, Mr W. W. Brough; committee, Messrs E. K. Phillips, L. G. Arnold, R. Lake, W. G. Hadley, L. Bigg, G. Craig and E. Pearce; auditor. Mr H. A. Barrett. On the motion of Mr E. K. Phillips, it was decided that the subscription should be reduced to 2s 6d for all members. It was resolved that it be a recommendation to the incoming committee that it should make arrangements for the establishment of the Nicholson Memorial Fund. A report was received from the newly formed branch in Wellington stating that the inaugural meeting had been successful and that prospects for the future were promising. Mr E. R. Newman, who *played a large part in the formation of the branch, was accorded a vote of thanks. In connection with the forthcoming jubilee celebrations. it was decided that representatives of the association should meet the School Ccmmiteee about the middle of the year.
