BYRD EXPEDITION.
Doctor Preoaring for Trip South. (Special to the “ Star.”) DUNEDIN, February 15. D r Potaka has arrived to join the Byrd expedition and he will be leaving here by the Discovery 11. The greater part of to-day was'occupied in procuring Dr Potaka’s outfit. As it is necessary to reach the ice with as little delay as possible, an enendeavour will be made to despatch tomorrow the Discovery 11.. which has amved from Auckland. She will take fifteen tons of supplies for the expedition, and also carry mails.
