Match for Brabin Cup Commenced. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, February 5. In excellent weather, the annual cricket match for the Brabin Cup, between Auckland juniors, the holders, and Wellington was opened to-day. Auckland won the toss and by 12.30 o’clock had scored 82 runs for three wickets. Scores:— AUCKLAND. First Innings. Adams, b Bird 10 Emery, c Rainbird b Lubransky .. 4 Jessup, c Edwards b O’Connor .. 8 Speed, not out 39 Flyger, not out 19 Extras 2 Total for three wickets .. 82
