New Zealand Swimming Championships.
No entries have yet been received for the New Zealand swimming championship meeting, which starts in Christchurch on February 17, but it is expected that thre will be a rush on Wednesday next, the closing day. The racing will be held in the new fet Albans bath, which is now rapidly approaching completion, and arrangements for the championships and the entertainment of visitors from other centres are well in hand. Cars are still needed, however, for the picnic on Sunday, February IS, and the motor run round the beaches on the next afternoon. Anyone who can supplv transport for one or both of the outings is requested to communicate with Mr V. tJ. Spillfr. secretary of the Canterbury Swimming Centre, telephone 38-09<i.
