MUSSOLINI STORY.

Signor Mussolini tells a story of himself that deserves to be true. Tired at times of publicity and overwork he slips away unattended to some quiet country place. On one occasion he arrived at a village after dark, and later, having nothing better to do, went to a picture theatre. One of the pictures shown was of Mussolini addressing a public assembly, and immediately it appeared the audience rose with the exception of the unrecognised Prime Minister. On being asked by the man next to him whv he did not stand, Mussolini replied by asking why he should. A disturbance seemed to be imminent, when the proprietor came, and bending over Mussolini, confidentially' explained to him that “ most of us think the .lame as y-ou do, but when we see his face we always stand just to save a row.” On being invited then as a good fellow to stand. Mussolini rose.
