SCHOOLS’ CONCERT.
Number of Scholarship* Awarded. A concert that held great interest from the educational point of view was given in the Jellicoe Hall laet evening, when the pupils attending the suburban school music classes held their competitions and gave concert, items. The schools represented were: whSSEnI Richmond, Waltham and Wbarenut (grouped as one). Elmwood. Woolston St Albans and Linwood Avenue grouped as one) and Fendalton. Jack ano Eric Phillips, Joan Good, Frances Smith. Ronald Smith, Gladys Clark, Winnie Collins and Paul Hunter. . In congratulating the children and their teachers Mr Davies said that the vear’s work * had resulted in a marked advance in the general standard. Items were given by Elaine Cotnyn«. Jean Morrison.
