CLUB COMPETITIONS.

Cant Beats Robinson at Wilding Park.

Conditions were good at Wilding Park this afternoon when the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association’s competitions were continued. The senior competition is in the fifth round, while the A grade is in the eighth. Interest in the senior competition was centred in the Canterbury College I. v. United I. match. Both these teams are so tar undefeated. At the conclusion of the singles United were one set up. The doubles should provide some interesting tennis, especially in the match between the first two pairs, Cant and Andrews and Robinson and Rhodes-Williams. Cant's Oood. Win. A. R. Cant, playing first man for College in the absence of M. A. Barnett, had a good win over W. R. Robinson, the third man on the Canterbury ranking list, in a match that went to three sets.
