Rumours Regarding President Hoover. (“ Star” Radio.) (Received August 2, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 1. Persistent rumours concerning President Hoover’s personal finances, including a report that he has been investing money in foreign oil-fields, were denied by Edgar Rickard, the President’s business representative. Rickard said that Mr Hoover had had no business activity since becoming Secretary of Commerce.
