LYTTELTON CLUB.

Annual Dance is Great Success. MANY PEOPLE ATTEND. The Lyttelton Club ball, one of the leading social gatherings of the port, is always largely attended, but this year’s dance, held on Wednesday evening, was a greater success than those held previously. The decorations of the hall attracted considerable attention. The decorative scheme was carried out in autumn tints, streamers, baskets of cherry blossom and masses of paper decorations hanging from a wire trellis suspended from the ceiling. Alcoves at each corner with rows of multi-coloured electric lights completed the effect. The supper tables were decorated with cases of pink daisies. Herdman-Fisk orchestra provided the music. The members of the committee responsible for the success of the hall were: Mesdames C. T. Voyce, R. Duckworth, R. Shepherd, W. Cain, G. Smith, E. Green, H. Wales. J. 11. Collins, W. Toy, H.
