TROT GELDINGS CHEAP.
(Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND, May 18. That there is no demand for good trotting geldings, when they reach a hard mark, was further demonstrated by the sale recently of Machine Gun for £l2, also Daytime and Paradigm for £lO each. A few months ago R. A. M’Millan, after trying to win another race with Peter M’Kinney, gave up the idea of further training him and disposed of him for £ll. With the lengthening of the limits in the Auckland province, he also found it impossible to place Machine Gun, hence his decision to sell.
