HOSPITAL APPOINTMENT

Auckland Board Receives 38 Applications. (Special to the. “Star.”) AUCKLAND, May 18. Concerning the appointment of a medical superintendent in succession to Dr C. E. Maquire, a special committee of the Hospital Board reduced thirty-eight applications to twelve. The board makes its choice at a special meeting next Wednesday. The applicants selected for further consideration are:—Drs A. C. B. Biggs (Napier), J. W. Craven (Birkenhead), H. L. Gould (Auckland), A. D. Nelson (Wanganui), G. H. Robertson (Wanganui), J. F.
