ADDINGTON YARDS.

Freer Sale for Fat Cattle. STORE SHEEP DULL. There were no North Island cattle included in the fat cattle yarding at the Addington stock sale to-day. The entry was purely a local one, and with the entry about 100 head fewer than last week there -was a freer sale, with no uotable c-hange in values. Fat lambs showed an easing tendency, with best sorts selling up to 5d per lb. Most of the yarding was of secondary quality. The demand for store lambs was not as keen as last week, and values were down by from 6d to Is a head. Store sheep met with a dragging sale, with the result that values were down, in some cases by Is a head on last week. Pat Lambs. The entry of fat lambs totalled 3700 head, compared with 3000 last week. Due to the lateness of the season, the quality showed a falling-off, and about two-thirds of the yarding was of inferior quality. Values were slightly easier than last week, and prices were down in sympathy with the drop in quality. Best quality lambs sold at up to 5d per lb. The top price of 19s 7d was secured by A. E. Pulley (Ladbrooks), for two of a line of 60 which sold from 16s Id to 19s 7d. Values were: Extra prime lambs, to 19s 7d. Prime lambs, 16s to 17s 9d. Medium lambs, 12s 6d to 15s 6d. With an entry of 315 head, over 100 less than that entered at last week s market, the sale for fat cattle was a little more free in tone, without any quotable change in values: No North Island cattle were forward this week, i Again quality was rather mixed, but ; there were somte choice lines of prime - medium-weight and heavy-weight steers forward. Indifferent sorts and medium cows met with as dispirited a sale as last ; week, when values reachted a level for i those grades never before known on such a general scale. The following were the earlier sales: s On account of: Mrs T. T. Bethell (Pahau Pastures), 7 steers at £lO 17s 6d to £ll 2s 6d; W. Entries of store lambs and sheep were much the same as they were last week, and th-ere was little outstanding about the appearance of the offering in either section. _ . Though the hulk of the entry of store , lambs changed hands, the demand was ' not so good as it was last week, and values all round were from 6d to is a head cheaper. The best of the ewe lambs made 9s, and the limit for rape lambs was 8s sd. Thte store sheep entry included several big lines of station wethers, among them a draft from the Molesworth station.
