WHIPPET RACING.
The North Canterbury Club. The North Canterbury Whippet Racing Club held Its December meeting at Woodend on Saturday. The Woodend First Class Handicap went to Mr A. Fisher’s Wynross, with Mrs F. E. Bllteliff’s Captain Jean second. The Royal Hurdles was won by Mrs H. Barnes’s Glenbird, with Mr D. Eadburnd’s Royal Rossie close up. The Waikuku second class flat drew a good entry, the placetakers being Messrs O. Mahoney and L>. Holbrough’s Da Fawnette and Mr J. Frisk’s May Wyn. The winner of the restricted weight event was Wee Ardrishaig, owned by Mr A. Macßrayne.
