MODEL YACHTING.
The Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed off the final heats of the club championship on Saturday at Victoria Lake. The wind was strong from the nor’-east and six boats sailed under the supervision of Mr O. B. Ekensteen. Following were the results:— Third Heat—W. S. Kingston’s Sans Atout 1, R. Monro’s Dolphin 2, S. W. Smith’s Charlie 3, E. Hodge’s Kea 4. Time—23imin. Final Heat—Dolphin 1, Sans Atout 2, A. Semmen’s En Avant 3, Charlie 4, Time—2smin. The race finally resulted—Dolphin, 29 points, first and champion. Sans Atout, 23 pints, second, Charlie, 10 points, third, En Avant, 8 points, fourth.
