LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
Christchurch Branch Makes a Complaint. The council of the League of Nations Union (Christchurch branch) met last evening; present; Messrs A. C. Brassington, B. M. Laing, C. R. N. Mackie, the Rev J. A. Allan, Mr G. Manning, Mrs A. I. Fraer and Miss E. Hawker. A resolution was passed expressing the regrets of the union that the Government did not see fit to send a representative to the International Labour Organisation meeting at Geneva this year. The secretary reported that copies of the resolution regarding world disarmament had been sent to various churches, and correspondence had been received from ministers endorsing the resolution. It was resolved that Dr O. H. Frankel be asked to give the next address to the union. It was resolved that the union should be represented on the National Council of Women. Mrs Fraer was appointed the union's representative.
