Charges Against a Man and Woman.
ALLEGATION OF ROBBERY. P#»r Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 20. Arrested in New Plymouth on Saturday, Florence Winstone, aged twentyseven, a married woman, and Jack Winstone, alias George Morton, aged twenty-one, a seaman, were charged to-day that, being armed with a fivechambered revolver, they robbed Maurice Guthrie of a cheque book. They were also charged with being found at New Plymouth in possession of a revolver and a compressed air pistol, otherwise than for some lawful and proper purpose. The first charge relates to an armed hold-up on Shelly Bav Road on August 7. The accused were remanded till August 26.
