Per Press Association. TE AWAMUTU, March 31. A five-roomed dwelling, owned by Mr E. Bridgeman and occupied by Mrs Johnston, was destroyed by fire at 230 this morning. Only Mrs Johnston was in the dwelling at the time. She wakened to find that the back portion of the house was well ablaze, and escaped through a window in her night attire. The Fire Brigade made a prompt response, but were too late to save anything. The building was insured for £6OO in the New ealand Office, and the contents for £2OO in the Victoria Office.
