CAMPERS APPRECIATE WARMTH AT HANMER.
The weather was fine throughout the whole of the holidays, and, with the exception of one day, the intense heat which set in the day after Boxing Day continued till Saturday, when a nor’west gale for several hours in the afternoon was followed by showers towards evening, with cooler conditions on Sunday, and the wind still in the northwest quarter. The dry conditions were especially appreciated by the many campers, who would otherwise have had an uncomfortable time in their surroundings owing to the luxuriant growth this season.
