CONDUCT OF HOTELS IS NOT SATISFACTORY

DUNEDIN, December 1. “The police report on the conduct of hotels shows that an undue proportion are described as only fairly well conducted. A regrettable feature is that this includes several of the leading hotels, with regard to which a much better report might be expected.” Thus Mr Bartholomew, S.M., at the quarterly Licensing Committee meeting to-day.
