DINNER GIVEN N.Z. DELEGATES.
MR FORBES RECEIVED BY KING AT PALACE. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received November 29, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 28. Two hundred members of the New Zealand Society gave a luncheon to Mr Forbes and Sir Thomas Sidey at the Savoy Hotel, Sir Thomas Wilford presiding. Mr MacDonald said that he and Mr Forbes both were a little old-fashioned, believing in the sentimental bond of Empire. Mr Forbes paid a tribute to Mr MacDonad’s tact, patience and diplomacy as chairman of the Imperial Conference. New Zealand had to face lower prices, but she must do it cheerfully. Earl’ Jellicoe proposed the toast of Sir Thomas Wilford. The King received Messrs Forbes and Bennett at Buckingham Palace.
