LADIES AUXILIARY OF THE R.S.A. HAVE BRIDGE PARTY

The Ladies’ Auxiliary of the R.S.A held their second bridge evening in the Jellicoe Hall last night. Over 100 players were present, while others had arranged parties in their own homes or assisted by contributions. Mr E. W. Willcox. secretary of the R. , expressed the thanks and appreciation of the R.S.A. for the manner in which the Ladies’ Auxiliary had helped the association by the various social gatherings which they had organised since the inception of the auxiliary. With the money thus raised it had been possible to give assistance to needy returned men, so many of whom were at present unemployed. Mrs G. Rhodes is patron of the Ladies’ Auxiliary, the members of the committee being: Mrs H. T. J. Thacker (president), Mesdames F W. W. Dawson, J. Kelly, J. D. Sprosen. A. J. Benzie, H. Bishop, J. Royds, Powell, Misses M. Cuthbert (honorary secretary), Cuthbert, Rogers and Jones. During the evening a dainty supper was served by the ladies of the committee.
