MASONIC SOCIAL HELD AT ADDINGTON
WELCOME GIVEN TO GRAND MASTER. Members of the Masonic Lodges, and their wives and friends, from Christchurch and all parts of Canterbury together with 'the delegates to the annual communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge, and their wives, gathered together at the Tea Kiosk, in the Metropolitan Trotting Club’s grounds at Ad dington last night The evening, which was arranged to give a welcome to the newly installed Grand Master. Lord Bledisloe, took the form of a conversazione. The kiosk, which had been decorated with bowls of flowers for the occasion, was crowded to its utmost capacity. Following an entertaining concert given by the Civic Troubadours, a dance was held Although the floor was crowded, the visitors and local people spent an enjoyable evening. Credit is due to the committee who were responsible for the arrangements. The ladies of the Reception Committee were Mesdames J. N. Du Feu, David Crozier. Clifton Bingham, C. S. Thompson, A. H.
