WEDDING.

Jacknjan-Clausen. The wedding of Edna Margaret, younger daughter of Mr F. B. Clausen, of Leeston, to Cecil Joseph, third son of Mrs Jackman and the late Mr W. H. Jackman, of Leeston, was solemnised on Tuesday afternoon, in St John’s Anglican Church, by the Rev N. A. Friberg. The church was decorated with spring flowers and laburnum, and a large white bell, relieved with-touches of pink, was given a position of prominence. The bride, who was escorted to the church by her father, wore a frock of ivory georgette, the long bodice slightly rucked on four sides and held by pearl and brilliant ornaments. A cape of georgette and silver lase, inserted with medallions, was caught on each shoulder with a satin rose, the long tight-fitting georgette sleeve coming to a point over the hand. The flared skirt was edged with silver lace, which fell in graceful lines to the ground at four points. Her tulle veil, arranged off the forehead, was held at the back by a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of white hothouse flowers. Attending the bride were two bridesmaids, Misses Eileen Donaldson (cousin) and Edith Jackman (sister of the bridegroom) . The former was wearing a frock of salmon pink floral georgette, with tight-fitting bodice, and an anklelength flared skirt falling from a hip yoke slightly rucked. The sleeveless bodice had a cape collar, with a large bow at the back. Miss Jackman’s frock ■was made in similar st}de, but of blue material. Both wore summer felt hats to tone with their frocks, and carried bouquets of pink hothouse flbwers. Miss Marie Free, niece of the bride, made a dainty' flower girl, wearing a frilled frock of salmon pink crepe de chine, relieved with a lemon and silver spray. Her Dutch cap was in silver shade, and she carried an early Victorian posy. Mr R. A. I. Lochhead was best man. and Mr 11. D. Llasson groomsman. On leaving the church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her little brother, Bertram. A reception was held in the Town Hall, where Mrs Clausen, the bride’s stepmother, received her guests, wearing a frock of saxe blue floral chiffon velvet, the bodice made on straight lines and the skirt flounced. Her hat was a blue summer felt, and shoes were worn to tone with the frock. Her bouquet was in bronze shades. Mrs W. H. Jackman, the bridegroom’s mother, was attired in a frock of Naples blue satin beaute, relieved with beige, and a hat to harmonise with the frock. Her bouquet was of pale pink roses and anemones. When leaving on the honeymoon, the bride "was wearing a smart frock of floral ninon, under a hopsac coat with check trimming, and hat and shoes to match.
