The St John’s Young Men Club held a dance in the Parish Hall on Monday evening, there being about 150 people present. Messrs J. P. Darragh and Bert Woodward gave an interesting dialogue, and Mr Darragh’s story without words was well received. Novelty dances resulted: Lucky spot foxtrot, Miss J. M’Ewan; Monte Carlo one-step, Miss M. Beaumont and Mr J. Melhuish. Woodward’s Orchestra supplied the music, Mr R. 11. Beaumont played extras, and Mr V. Beaumont was M.C.
