MR CLIMIE DENIES RECENT STATEMENTS.
It has been stated since the formation of a New Zealand Aero Club that the various provincial clubs would have to surrender their ownership of grounds to the controlling body. This was given a denial this morning by the secretary of the Canterbury Aero Club, Mr P. R. Climie, who stated that the New Zealand club was purely a paper organisation to determine boundary questions and general policy matters in regard to aviation. There had been no suggestion that control of grounds should be delegated to it.
