INACTIVITY CRITICISED BY MR J. S. FLETCHER.
(Special to the “Star.") WELLINGTON, June 27. “ These are some of the reasons why I ha,ve removed myself from the Government benches. N'o longer , do I propose to take the responsibility for this type of inactivity," declared Mr J. S. Fletcher (Grey Lynn) in the House this morning, when criticising the Government for its alleged failure to take advantage of the iarfd settlement legislation of the last session, for »ts policy regarding unemployment, for the raising of the rate of interest, and For the administration of the Main Highways Board. "I am going to fight this Government, or any other Government," he added, “ unless they are prepared to tackle unemployment and the other problems I have referred to. I won't go back to rriy electorate without getting something done, if it is at all in my power to do it. Lack of willingness has been the cause of a lot of the unemployment trouble."
