The Christchurch Caledonian Society has decided to extend its activities by giving a scholarship which will be open to children of members of the society. The scholarship will be tenable at St Andrew’s College, and will be available for two years. Details are being arranged between the society and the governors of the College. Several important questions will be considered by the executive of the Canterbury Progress League this evening. Amongst these are a goodwill tour of the South Island railways and steps to bring about completion of the South Island trunk line as soon as possible.
