ACCIDENT VICTIM DIES IN HOSPITAL.
l’er Press Association. HAWERA, December 17. Dorothy Cross, single, aged about twenty years, died in hospital this afternoon from injuries received in a collision with a motor-cycle near Hawera at midnight on Sunday. She had not regained consciousness since she was taken to the hospital shortly after the accident. Hugh Herbert Hill, with whom Miss Cross was pillion-rid-ing, was killed outright. A third person involved was Russell Alexander Hurley, who sustained a fracture of the leg and head injuries, lie is making favourable progress.
