CHURCH BAZAAR.
A successful bazaar was held on Thursday, November 28, 1929, in the Marshland Hall, by the ladies of St Mark’s Church. Much credit was due to the stall-holders for the tasteful decorations, which lent a festive air to the function, and to their enterprise in the equipment of their respective stalls, which resulted in good business, the church benefiting to the extent of £sl 6s 6d. The stallholders and results were:— Work—Mesdames A. F. Roberts, Reay, R. Crozier, G. Watson, J. R. Stackwood (£23 9s lid). Cakes—Mesdames S. Watson and W. Watson (£9 14s sd). Sweets —Mrs N. Treleaven, Misses C. Curtis, J. Roberts, R. Wilson and E. Trott (£8). Ices—Misses E. Reay and G. Watson (£6). Tea rooms—Mesdames T. Crozier, W. Smith, T. Jones, G. Trott, C. Andrews (£3 18s id). Fish-pond—Miss Matterson and Miss I Matterson. Many thanks are due to Mr Throp for his services in supplying amusements, and to Mr E. Rountree and his band for music.
