TRAINING COLLEGE STUDENTS PICNIC AT DIAMOND HARBOUR.
Over 200 students from the Training: College laid aside their books this morning - and set out by train for Lyttelton, thence to Diamond Harbour, for their annual picnic. No set programme has been prepared for the day, but most of the picnickers had bathing gear stowed away in their hampers, while others were equipped for tramping. A wind-up dance will be held tonight. The break-up for the year takes place to-morrow morning at an informal morning tea. The Hoh H. Atmore will be present at this function. A children’s fancy dress dance will be held in the hall in the evening.
