WEDDING.

SCOON—GRIEVE. Last Tuesday, the Roman Catholic Church, Methven, was the scene of a wedding when Pearl, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. J. Grieve, Methven, was married to Raymond, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Isaac Scoon, also of Methven. The ceremony was performed by the Rev Father T. W. Price. Miss P. M’Kendry presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a simple frock of white satin with a pretty veil and orange blossom. She also carried a shower bouquet of hothouse flowers. Miss Eva Grieve, the bride’s sister, who attended as bridesmaid, was attired in a pretty frock of blue taffetas and silver lace. She also wore a mob-cap of silver lace, and carried a shower bouquet of hothouse flowers. Mr Wilfred Duff was best man. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by little Rita Wright'!

After the ceremony, adjournment was made to the public hall, where upwards of 100 guests were received. Mrs Grieve, the bride’s mother, received her guests wearing a navy frock of crepe de chine, over which was worn a navy tailored coat and hat to match. Mrs Scoon, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of navy celanese jap siik with tailored coat and hat to tone. Both carried bouquets of autumn-tinted leaves and flowers. When the happy couple left later for their honeymoon the bride was

wearing a suit of pale grey with small grey felt hat to tone. She also carried a coat of fawn facecloth trimmed with fur.
