Something new in the way of a railway publication has been issued by the Railway Department in the shape of a time-table of goods trains. This which will be of great advantage to business firms, has been incorporated in an attractive booklet, entitled “ Freight by Rail.” In a foreword, the General Manager, Mr H. H. Sterling, says: “My experience of outside commercial life has impressed upon me the importance and value of the ‘ customer’s viewpoint ’ and any assistance I can gain from this source will be fully appreciated and should help the Department steadily to increase its usefulness in accomplishing the purpose for which it exists—the supply of the fullest and best possible service to the people of this country.”
