Ruapehu, from Port Chalmers, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday to unload. The vessel is expected to sail for Napier on December 28, later returning here from Auckland about January 20 to load for the United Kingdom. Parera arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday from Wellington to load for Waikokopu and other east coast rorts. Canopus . was dispatched on Saturday for Port Chalmers. where she will undergo her annual survey and overhauling. Orepuki from Tarakohe is due here todav with cement. The vessei will load for Nelson, Westport and Greymouth.

Katoa is due here to-morrow from Timaru to load for Wellington and Auckland.

Opihi, from Bluff, is due here on December 25 with a part cargo of coal from Westport.

Wairau, from Blenheim, will call at Lyttelton on December 28 to load for Blenheim. Calm arrived here yesterday from Timaru to load to-day for Wellington and Wanganui.

Mr C. C. Richardson has joined the Kahika as chief engineer, relieving Mr R. G. Houghton for holiday leave.
