MANY VISITORS AT ADVENTISTS’ CAMP.
There was a large influx of visitors to the camp meeting at the Addington Show Grounds during the week-end. At the eleven o’clock service on Saturdaymorning, which was conducted by Pastor A. G. Daniells, of Washington, the large marquee was crowded. In the afternoon. Pastor A. 11. Piper, of Sydney, delivered a missionary address, after which an appeal for help for the island missions was made. The large congregation showed its appreciation of the work which is being carried on by contributing the sum of £550 6s Bd. At the Sabbath School the collection for foreign missions amounted to £36 11s 9d. On Saturday evening Pastor A. W. Anderson, of Sydney, delivered a lecture on “ Prophetic Time.” lie said that all the great “ time ” prophecies of the Bible had expired. Yesterday afternoon Pastor A. 11. Piper preached on “ God's Last Message in All the World.” Some interesting figures were given as evidence that the Advent Message, as taught by Seventh Day Adventists, was reaching all parts of the world. Last year the fifty-six publishing houses of the denomination distributed literature in 132 languages, at a cost of £952,387. The misisonaries of the denomination were now preaching in 279 languages, and carrying on operations in 127 countries. Last evening Pastor A. G. Daniells delivered a discourse on “ The Unspeakable Riches of the Christian’s Heritage.” To-day the campers will disperse to their homes in the various parts of the South Island, while the visiting ministers from abroad will leave for Auckland to attend the camp meeting for the members of the churches in the North Island.
