HEALTH WEEK GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETS.

The final meeting of the Health Week Committee was held in the City Council Chamber last night, Mr J. W. Crampton presiding. The Town Clerk wrote advising that the City Council had adopted the suggestion of the committee that a public meeting should be held early in July next, with a view to arranging for a Health Week Campaign to take place in October. The council also wished to express sincere appreciation of the efforts of the Health Week Committee. The letter was received and it was decided to make a record of the suggestion that action in regard to Health Week next year should be taken in July. Accounts amounting to £4B 0s 3d were passed for payment. The chairman expressed the opinion that the committee had done very well in keeping the expenditure within the limit of £SO. It was decided to send a letter of appreciation to the Chief Commissioner of the Boy Scouts for the assistance rendered by the Scouts. The chairman said he felt satisfied that the efforts of the committee had had satisfactory results. It was decided to send letters of thanks to the City Council for its grant of £SO: to the nursing division of the St John Ambulance Brigade for its demonstrations during Health \\ eek, and to the Canterbury Division of the British Medical Association for its assistance.
