PUBLIC HEALTH EXPERTS DECLARE LITTLE CAN BE DONE TO HALT PROGRESS OF DISEASE

WITH THE WAVE of the influenza epidemic steadily approaching the larger centres of population, the Public Health olticials predict a total of 3,000,000 cases by Christmas. The experts are agreed that little can be done to halt the epidemic until the cycle lias expired, which normally runs from three to six weeks.—Australian Press Association.
