LEADER OF MAU UNDER ARREST.
TAMASESE REFUSED TO PAY HIS TAXES.
(Special to the N.Z. Press Association —By Radio.) (Received November 28, 1 P- rn -' APIA, November 27. Tamasese, leader of the Mau, after evading arrest on two previous occasions, was secured by the military police this morning and is now in custody for contempt of court by refusing to pay taxes on a judgment summons-. Anticipations that disturbances would follow the arrest of Tamasese have not been realised.
