ARANUI BURGESSES SAY MISTAKES WERE MADE IN THE HALL LOAN AREA
The monthly meeting of the Aranui Burgesses’ Association was held last night. Mr J. D. Sprosen presided over a good attendance.
It was decided to write to the ValuerGeneral in regard to alleged mistakes made by the Christchurch branch of the Valuation Department in compiling the roll of Avon and Bromley Riding of the Heathcote County in respect to the marking of the rolls in the Aranui Hall loan area. The secretary was instructed to write to the Heathcote County Council asking for a grant for the library fund.
It was decided to write to the Postal Department, about the- non-delivery of letters in Shortland Street, asking if it could arrange for a delivery. A letter will be sent to the Ileath cote County Council calling attention to the lupins on the section at the corner of Cuff’s Road and Page’s Road, asking if they could not be cut back
