The Board of Directors of the Y oung Women’s Christian Association held its monthly meeting on Monday, presided over by Mrs G. Blackmore. Representatives were appointed from the directors to the women’s branch of the i\ew Zealand Alliance and of the Christchurch Citizens’ Association. Arrangements were made for the annual meeting to be held on September 2a- the Girl Members’ Council submitted recommendations, which were approved by the board, in reference to a visit to Christchurch by Miss Bridgman, national chief counsellor of girl citizens of New Zealand, in September-October; an intensive study of the value of association membership throughout the senior department and a visit from Miss Law, national general secretary, in November. Departmental reports and the Lyttelton branch report gave evidence of satisfactory progress.
