POINCARE MAJORITY LIKELY IN FRANCE.

EVERYBODY MEANS HIM TO HAVE ONE. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received April 30, 10.30 a.m.) PARKS, April 29. The stage was set during the week for the real elections on Sunday. The arrangements foretold between the Radicals and Socialists materialised in almost ever}’’ constituency. It is regarded that the probable ultimate result will show a Chamber composed of at least as much Left as formerly. This is a sequel to the arranged withdrawals, which is an integral part of the French electoral system. Nobody doubts, however, that M. Poincare will obtain his majority, for everybody intends him to have one. At present the Communists continue to stand truculently alone, refusing to co-operate with the Socialists. The decision cost them numerous seats. If, as is likely, M. Poincare’s majority, should prove largely Leftist, Cabinet will probably be reconstructed.—i Australian Press Association.
