“ ON RIGHT ROAD TO SERIOUS TROUBLE.”
YOUTH CONVICTED FOR USING BAD LANGUAGE.
“The report on you is most unsatisfactory indeed,” said Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court this morning, when he ordered Cecil Bobv, 25 years of age, to com* up for sentence within two years on a charge of using obscene language in Wordsworth Street, Sj'denham. Accused had pleaded guilty. “Yes, it is one of the worst reports I have had for some time, and the whole question is whether or not I will send you for a period of reformativetreatment. You are on the right road to getting yourself into very serious trouble, young man. Your history is most unsatisfactory and the sooner you do some real honest hard work *lhe better it will be for you.” Accused: I intend getting work, sir. The Magistrate: Oh. yes, I know all about that. You will get work all right, otherwise things will go very hard indeed against you. The Magistrate then convicted and ordered accused to come up for sentence within two years. “If you come before me during that period, Bobv, you know what you will get,” said the Magistrate. Boby was also ordered to pay 5s witnesses’ expenses, in default 48 hours* imprisonment. He was allowed sevqn days in which to pay the fine.
